Mass-independent and mass-dependent Cr isotopic composition of the Rumuruti (R) chondrites: Implications for their origin and planet formation

چکیده

Chromium (Cr) isotopes play an important role in cosmochemistry and planetary science because they are powerful tools for dating (53Mn–53Cr short-lived chronometry), tracing (54Cr nucleosynthetic anomalies) the origins of materials, studying processes involved volatile element fractionation differentiation (Cr stable isotopic fractionation). To use Cr these purposes, it is essential to precisely know compositions various chondritic reservoirs. However, isotope composition Rumuruti (R) chondrites remains unknown. Here, we report high-precision mass-independent (average 2SE uncertainty ?0.02 ?0.06 ?53Cr ?54Cr, respectively; ? indicates 10,000 deviation) mass-dependent (uncertainty average 0.03‰ ?53Cr; ? 1000 data 12 bulk R petrologic types 3–6 (including chondrite breccias), one chondrite-like clast (MS-CH) Almahata Sitta polymict ureilite. simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Oxygen Isotopic Compositions and Degree of Alteration of Cr Chondrites

Although hydrously altered, CR chondrites are among the most primitive samples of the solar nebula because of no evidence for thermal or shock metamorphism [1], high presolar grain abundances [2], and perhaps because of their solar refrac-tory lithophile/Mg ratios [3]. Previous O-isotope measurements showed that CR chondrites form a mixing line of slope ~ 0.7 with a rather large scatter [4]. We...

Mass-Independent and Mass-Dependent Ca Isotopic Compositions of Thirteen Geological Reference Materials Measured by Thermal Ionisation Mass Spectrometry

We report mass-independent and mass-dependent Ca isotopic compositions for thirteen geological reference materials, including carbonates (NIST SRM 915a and 915b), Atlantic seawater as well as ten rock reference materials ranging from peridotite to sandstone, using traditional e and d values relative to NIST SRM 915a, respectively. Isotope ratio determinations were conducted by independent unspi...
